Innovation as Competitive Edge

Utilizing a "design-build-fly" philosophy, ASTREC, the Advanced Space Technologies Research & Engineering Center, aims to transform the culture of the space industry from risk-averse to "intelligently" risk-tolerant by offering a paradigm that demands and produces innovation.

This scalable research model extracts value from the nation's research infrastructure of academia, industry and government and develops programs that can lead to faster product delivery, greater functionality, and increased cost-effectiveness of femto- to micro-class of small satellites.
